HISTORY

How did Sonny Rose Ranch start?

In 1978 Fred “Sonny" Vario and Rosanne “Rose” Arabia purchased a 40 acre plot of farmland in Jefferson Borough, located in Western Pennsylvania.

The farmland was originally used to raise sheep and cattle. The sheep were sheered in the summer months for their wool which was sold to local textile mills. The live stock cattle were sold at the Washington County Auction. The farmland was given the name "Sonny Rose Ranch" after its owners.

Today the Sonny Rose Ranch is a haven for honeybees and other pollinators to forage along the rural terrain.
